What Does A Glow Up Mean?

Glow Up transformations are typically brought about by changes in mindset, behaviour, and lifestyle. These life improvements can be gradual or rapid but they're often permanent rather than fleeting.

Falling in love can have a positive impact on anyone's self-esteem. As cheesy as it might sound, I think that the best glow ups happen when you fall head over heels for someone!

What Is the Glow Up Challenge?

The glow up challenge is a month dedicated to yourself where you focus on improving your wellness, health, looks and mental strength. Even though it's one of the busiest months for many women right now that doesn’t mean we shouldn't do this glow up the challenge.

I can feel this very well since I started working full-time. If you skip self-care for a week or two, your stress might add on weight and lead to burnout.

It's so important to glow up, but it can be easy to sabotage your life when trying. I'm going to show you how! This is a 30-day challenge that includes activities requiring more time and some quick tasks. There are many things anyone can do without taking much of their busy schedule away from them.

If you're dedicated, a glow-up can be achieved in less than 30 days & always choose what is healthy and good for your body.

How To Glow Up Mentally And Physically?

How to Glow Up Physically

There are countless ways to make yourself feel confident and beautiful, from taking care of your body by doing follow -

Use To Drink Water

The best way to glow up in 2021 is by drinking more water. Everyone has heard this a thousand times, but it’s true! In order to function, you need water. You'll feel much better when you start drinking more of it because of not only that but also other things like clearing up your skin.

Starting your morning off with a glass of water will make you feel better all day long.

You should Start a Skincare Routine

You all might be surprised to hear that I didn't have a skincare routine until about a month ago.

I realized I was using all of the wrong products, so I ran to Walmart and got a ton of affordable new stuff. From then on, my skin has been looking better than ever before because it’s gotten much more consistent with its skincare routine.

Skincare Routine is very important this time because it’s very important to use mild products for everyday life, Skin Care Routine is the key to bright and clear skin. You should clean your face twice a day.

It's better to clean your face at night before going to bed because you will remove dirt and oil from your skin when you sleep at night time.

I never used to clean my face in the morning but now I do it daily in the morning with water and my new cleanser, I hope after following this you will get beautiful and bright skin like me.

You Should Exercise

If you're not getting any exercise right now, start! Your body will thank you and glow up in no time. Exercise is a great way to make your mood happy. It can give you more energy, boost confidence levels and will even help with self-esteem issues.

Getting 30 minutes of exercise 5 times a week is important for everyone.

Always Take more Fruits and Veggies

Try adding more fruits and veggies into your diet to feel good about yourself. They will make you glow up, so it makes sense that this is a healthier option than other methods because of the vitamins added to them.

Vitamin added foods help to give you more energy. You should also try eating healthier foods like whole grains, lean proteins and low-fat dairy to feel good about yourself. Try not skipping meals because that will result in your body feeling fatigued which will ultimately cause you to be sluggish and lose motivation.

Your digestive tract will thank you for adding these foods.

Slow down to taking the Junk Food

Junk food is not your friend. It will make you feel terrible, bloated and tired all the time with no energy to get through the day. Instead of having junk food for dinner tonight, cut back on it today in order to receive a glow up this 2021.

Junk food we should never eat. and also Soda/Pop is one of the worst things that can be put into your body. It's filled with sugar, contains zero nutritional value and will make you bloated. Some studies have shown that drinking soda regularly might cause diabetes, weight gain, high blood pressure and heart disease.

Make Your Hair Healthier

If you're looking to improve your hair health, try using shampoos and conditioners that are better for your hair. Coconut oil is a great option! A recent trend I've been seeing that makes your hair super healthy and shiny is rice water for hair.

Try New Makeup and Hairstyles

A variety of different makeup and hairstyles may make you feel good about yourself. So don’t be panicked to try new things.

Work on your Posture

Right now, you’re probably slumped over with your head down looking at your phone or computer. By fixing your posture, you can be healthier by supporting better bones and joints. Your posture can also impact your confidence!

How to Glow Up Mentally

Meditate Every Day

Meditation is a great way to improve your physical and mental health. Meditating increases mindfulness, decreases stress levels, and promotes peace of mind.

It's important to remember that meditation is a skill you must put effort into developing. Start with five minutes every day and work your way up from there. There are tons of guided meditations on Spotify or YouTube, which make for great beginner exercises.

Work On Your Confidence To be Always Confident

If you want to glow up, the best thing you can do is learn how to be more confident. Confidence will help any situation so much and no one should ever shy away from learning it.

If you want to be more confident, do whatever it takes. You could dye your hair blue or wear clothes that make you feel really good but have been afraid to put on before now.

Do That thing which you Love

Maybe you aren't one to make time for yourself, but it's important. You can finally do the things that give your life meaning! It could be as simple as doing yoga every day or going on a run in the park. Whatever makes you happy and keeps those endorphins pumping is what matters most.

Start spending your time doing the things you love, whether that's watching Netflix or spending time with family.

Be Positive & Look Positive

To be happier, cut out the negativity in your life. Think about all of the things that are getting you down - bad habits, people who bring you negative energy, or work that makes it difficult to go into each day with a smile on your face.

Start replacing all of these negative people with positive habits. There is a difference between not being positive 100% of the time and finding specific things constantly dragging you down. Cut out those negative thoughts because they aren't good for your mental health!

Work on a Skill that You’ve Always Wanted

You've always wanted to start something, but you just feel like it's impossible. Well now is your chance. You probably have a skill you've always wanted to improve. Maybe it's drawing, or maybe it's learning French. Either way, there are many different ways that can help you do just this.

Set Goals for Yourself that you want to achieve at any cost

If you want to be able to tell if you’ve made any progress, goal-setting is key. Writing down your weekly, monthly and yearly goals is a great way to stay on track. To avoid making mistakes you should write them.

Practice Gratitude

Gratitude is one of the most important practices you can have because it's scientifically proven to make people happier. I always start my day off by thinking of three things I'm grateful for.

Practicing gratitude will give you a more positive mindset and help you to focus less on the negatives in life.

Spend Time In Reading Personal Development Books

After having more time on my hands, I decided to read some self-help books that changed my life.

Three self-help books I recommend you check out are The Law of Attraction, Confidence in a Nutshell and Overcoming Anxiety. These great reads will help increase your overall confidence level and improve the way you think about yourself in general.

Start Using Affirmations

I’m still working on using affirmations, but it is something that I hope will improve my life in the future.

Affirmations are statements that you say or write in order to transform your thoughts and beliefs. If you practice these affirmations enough, they will rewrite the way you think without having to concentrate on it.

Figure out Who You Are

The world is full of so many different influences that it's difficult to know who we truly are. Sometimes I feel like my personality changes based on a movie or book I read/watch!

Being able to establish who you are without being influenced by your friends and family is an important part of life. It's fun to try new things and figure out what you like. For example, I tried skiing for the first time last month and realized that it was something I really enjoyed doing!

We are always changing, so we should try to learn more about our personalities and abilities.

Consider juicing

A short juice cleanse can have a big impact on the skin by removing toxins from your body. If you don't fancy doing an entirely liquid-only diet, adding green juices into your healthy diet is also beneficial for the skin as it readily absorbs nutrients without having to digest fibres in them.

This glowing skin recipe is made with kale, mint, apples and cucumbers.

Cut out toxins

Replace your daily coffee with hot water and lemon for healthier, brighter skin. Say goodbye to alcohol and high-sugar foods like candy bars in order to make positive changes towards a better complexion.

Each morning drink "kick start" the metabolism with some warm water mixed with fresh-squeezed juice of half a lemon. it will flush out any toxins that may be hiding beneath your beautiful face.

Drink plenty of H2O throughout each day too. it's important you're well-hydrated so don't forget about this essential step either.

Exfoliate

Exfoliation is the process of removing dead skin cells from your face to reveal a glowing and smooth complexion. Don't worry about exfoliating fading away from your tan, but it will make it last longer.

Facialist Anastasia Achilleos recommends that you should try exfoliating once or twice per week for soft and glowy skin while also helping remove overly sunscreen/dry patches on some areas.
